O2 have recently completely changed their website for sending text messages, so CelText does not work at the moment. I am working on a fix, so hold in there, it's coming!
Update: This issue has been resolved, and CelText now works again.

CelText available in the App Catalog

CelText is now available for free from the App Catalog. Irish Palm Pre (& Pixi when it gets here) users now can have 250 extra text messages every month. Give it a go, and please give feedback.
The Pro version is already finished, and as soon as Palm makes paid apps available in Europe/Ireland, it will be available. It offers the following extra features:
Send messages to multiple people
Read previously sent messages
Forward sent messages.
And more to come. User feedback will decide which features go into it, so let me know.

Having Problems with CelText?

Some people are reporting having problems with CelText, where it says that sending a text has failed. Some things to try:
Make sure you can have internet connection.
Make sure you can send text messages from the o2.ie website.
Try sending a message to yourself. There may be a bug where it says the message wasn't sent when it actually was. This can be caused by the o2.ie server being very slow.
Re-enter your phone number and password. Make sure to include the full phone number, e.g. 0865556665 , with no spaces.
If none of these work, please drop me an email from the Help section of the App.

CelText v0.1.4 has been release at http://www.precentral.net/homebrew-apps/celtext , also available for install using PreLoad.
CelText v0.1.2 is still under review for the Palm App Catalog, and will hopefully be available very soon.
CelText Pro is ready to ship. It has a number of cool extra features such as:
Sending a message to multiple people
Auto-generation of favourite contacts, to speed up selecting recipients
Ability to view and forward previously sent messages.
As soon a paid applications are available in Ireland I will submit it to the Palm App Catalog. WebOS v1.3.1 is expected to launch in Europe at the end of November '09, which contains the ability to buy applications. Hopefully the App Catalog will also allow paid apps at that point, so you can get CelText Pro all the sooner!
